Enciclopedia de Bioderecho y Bioética
The Inter-University Chair in Law and the Human Genome continues the way that began seventeen years ago in order to promote the study and research of the scientific, ethical and legal aspects of biomedicine in general and human genetics in particular.

On this occasion, in collaboration with Roche Institute and Comares Publishers, we intend to give an important step in this direction by trying to collect all aspects concerning Biolaw and Bioethics in a single volume for easy reference.

Thus, the Encyclopedia of Biolaw and Bioethics is a collective, multidisciplinary and plural work which tries to systematize and make available to stakeholders and the general public the most significant issues of bioethical and biolegal thinking, in a complete, didactic and rigorous way. It addresses the most controversial issues and the emerging conflicts, what values or rights were involved and what are the solutions proposed by the Bioethics and the social positions crystallized into legal rules or materialized into crucial judicial decisions.

In this way, the Encyclopedia provides a reference which allows not only gain a fundamental understanding of each of the matters contained in the work, but also of the relationships between them, thus closing a loophole that existed in this field in our language.
