Born in Pamplona on March 3, 1975.

Education. Licensed in Law by the Public University of Navarra and Doctor in Law by the UNED University. Her Doctoral Thesis was entitled “Ethics and Law facing the possibilities opened up by the knowledge on the human genome”.

She has undergone a three-month stay at the Facoltà di Giurisprudenza dell’Università degli Studi del Molise (Italy) to broaden her education and research

Research Activity. Her research has been directed towards issues related with the Philosophy of Law, Bioethics, BioLaw, Genetics and Biotechnology, etc.

She has participated in several research projects of a national and European scope on matters such as the criteria for life ending decision making, ethical and legal aspects of xenotransplantation, legal issues surrounding the donation of haematopoietic stem cells and the application of Directive 2004/23/EC on setting standards of quality and safety for the donation, procurement, testing, processing, preservation, storage and distribution of human tissues and cells.

She has been a speaker in several Conferences, Seminars and other national and international forums. She is a member of the editorial committee of the “Revista de Derecho y Genoma Humano/Law and the Human Genome Review”, published by the Inter-University Chair in Law and the Human Genome.

Teaching Activity. Professor-Tutor of the courses entitled “Natural Law”, “Theory of Law”, and “Basic Legal Concepts” at the UNED. She is a pre-doctoral scholar of the Government of Navarra to undertake her Doctoral Thesis at the Faculty of Legal Philosophy of the UNED, Researcher of the Facoltà di Giurisprudenza dell’Università degli Studi del Molise, and Researcher of the Chair in Law and the Human Genome.
